It is very strange I am sitting here watching Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations Vietnam. I have never been to Vietnam but after 14 years of Vietnamese lovers I watch and start missing all things Vietnamese. I just texted my Korean friend to see if he wants to go to the best Vietnamese restaurant in Dallas and have Pho. Of course the restaurant is not fancy, or well advertised. Its one of those places Vietnamese know and maybe those lucky souls who have been introduced to it. It is amazing the memories it brings back. I remember Alf and I going to a new Vietnamese restaurant in Dallas and when we sat down the waitress set the table for us. She sets the small bowl, chopsticks and spoon in front of Alf and a fork, plate in front of me. Alf noticed the insult in my eyes and was very quick to correct the waitress in her language that she had dealt us an insult and suggested she quickly correct it. That is the sign of not only a good lover but a real friend. It is amazing to me that living with someone outside your culture for so long can instill in you the ability to miss parts of that culture like you had lived it since your youth. So to Alf and Steven (strangely both actually Tuan) I say thanks for giving me so much that when I think of you and your culture I miss it like I had lived it.

This has just been a crazy busy month. I have lauched two of my websites. Figures and Forms and Jade Star Communications. The good news is they are both up and we are just reviewing them and working out the bugs. I will get back to GMI and start posting on Feb 1.
